Abstract
ÖZET Yönetim-örgüt anlayışlarındaki değişmeler ile bugüne katkıları ve 'insan odaklı' yönetim ya da Toplam Kalite Yönetimi anlayışının kuruluşların vazgeçilmezliğindeki önemi, çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Tez, beş bölümden oluşmuştur. İlk bölümde günümüz örgütlerin içinde bulunduğu koşullar ve getirdiği yenilikler genel hatlarıyla açıklanmıştır. Bu arada tezin amacı ve önemi de ortaya konmuştur. İkinci bölümde geçmişten günümüze kadar değişen ve gelişen yönetim anlayışları, bugüne getirdiği katkılarıyla beraber incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise modern sonrası anlayışlar incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde ise Toplam Kalite Yönetimi anlayışının tarihsel gelişimi, teknikleri anlatılmış ve ISO 9000 standartlarından ayrmülı bir şekilde bahsedilmiştir. Bölüm sonunda firma özdeğerlendirmesinde kullanılan kalite ödüllerine yer verilmiş ve toplam kalite anlayışının özü belirtilmiştir. Beşinci bölüm, sonuç ve önerileri içermektedir. Bir inceleme niteliğinde yapılan bu çalışma sonunda, firmaların hayatta kalmaları 'müşteri memnuniyeti'ne dayalı Toplam Kalite Yönetimi ile mümkün olabileceği ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.
ABSTRACT The changes of management-organization understandings with the contributions they have made and the importance of 'human focused' management or Total Quality Management understanding to be inevitable, contitutes the purpose of this study. This thesis is comprised of five sections. In the first section, the highlights of the conditions the organizations today find themselves in and the innovations introduced by them are explained. In the meantime the purpose of the thesis and its importance are given also. In the second section, the understanding of management which has changed and developed from the past up to the date and the contributions it has made has been reviewed. In the third section, the later modern understandings, together with its concept and applications are researched. In the fourth section, the historical development of Total Quality Management and its techniques are explained and ISO 9000 standards are discussed in detail. At the end of this section, quality awards usen in the self-evaluation of the companies are dizcussed and the gist of the Total Quality Management is specified. The fifth section contains results and suggestions. At the end of this study, it was understood that it will only be possible for the companies to remain alive with Total Quality Management based on 'customer satisfaction'. m
