Sakarya-taraklı Örneğinde Avrupalı Seçkin Destinasyonlar (eden) ve Sürdürülebilir Turizm

Abstract

Turizm endüstrisinin dünya genelinde oluşturduğu 1 trilyon 400 milyar $'lık ihracat hacmi, turizm faaliyetlerinin ekonomik ve stratejik açıdan önemli bir konuma ulaşmasını sağlamıştır. Bununla birlikte, akademisyenlerin yapmış olduğu çalışmalarda sektörün aşırı ve kontrolsüz şekilde büyümesi nedeniyle çevresel ve sosyo – kültürel bazı önemli sorunların yaşanmakta olduğuna dikkat çekilmektedir. Buna göre araştırmanın amacı; 'Sakin Şehir' ve 'EDEN' unvanlı Sakarya-Taraklı'nın, Belediye, Kaymakamlık, İşletme Sahiplerinden oluşan grup ile Yerel Halk ve Turistler gözündeki algısını tespit etmek ve Sürdürülebilir Turizmin önemine vurgu yapmak olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma yöntemi; 'Niteliksel Tasarım' türlerinden olan Niteliksel İçerik Analizi Tasarımıyla (kaynak/literatür taraması) içerik oluşturma ve Niteliksel Saha Araştırması (gözlem yapma) yollarıyla niteliksel veri toplama; 'Niceliksel Tasarım' türlerinden olan Tanımlayıcı/Betimleyici Araştırma Tasarımı (anket) yoluyla veri toplama olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; Taraklı 'da destinasyona özgü yöresel mutfak ve el sanatları değerlerinin turistik ürünlere dönüştürülmesine; turistik bir destinasyon olarak tanıtma faaliyetlerinin geliştirilmesine; eğitim ve bilinçlenmeye yönelik projeler geliştirilmesine; sosyal ve kültürel yapının bozulmasını önleyici tedbirler alınması ile tarihi yapıların korunmasına; çevrenin korunması ve altyapının geliştirilmesine yönelik düzenlemelerin yapılmasına ve ekonomik yapının güçlendirilmesine yönelik projeler geliştirilmesine ihtiyaç vardır. European Destinations of Excellence (EDEN) and Sustainable Tourism: The Sakarya-Taraklı Case The 1 Trillion 400 Billion $ valued export volume which the tourism industry constituted worldwide, ensured the tourism activities to obtain an important status economically and strategically. Nevertheless, researches made by academicians' remark that the over and uncontrolled growth of the sector leads to some serious environmental and socio-cultural problems. According to this, the purpose of the research is; to determine Citta-Slow and EDEN titled Sakarya-Taraklı's perception before the eyes of the group which consists from Municipality, District Governorate, Proprietors, and Locals, Tourists and to emphasize on Sustainable Tourism. Research Method is designated as; Forming content via Qualitative Content Analysis Design which is one of the 'Qualitative Design' types (source/literature review) and gathering qualitative data via Qualitative Field Research (observation) and data gathering by Descriptive/Depictive Research Design (survey) which is amongst the types of Quantitative Design. According to the research results; projects towards transforming regional cuisine and handicrafts indigenous to the destination to touristic products; to enhance advertising activities as a touristic destination; to develop projects towards education and awareness; to take measures against the destruction of the socio-cultural structure and to protect historical structures; to establish arrangements aimed for the development of the infrastructure and the protection of the environment and to strengthen the economic structure are needed in Taraklı.
