| person.biography | Naime Usul graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Bilkent University in 2007, ranking third in her faculty. In 2017, she earned a Ph.D. in Finance from Bilkent University. Her research focuses on behavioral finance and social finance, exploring investor behavior and investment patterns in financial markets. She has a particular interest in sustainability, social responsibility, and ESG practices, which are integral to financial decision-making. Her doctoral thesis examined individual investor behavior, specifically the affective motivations in stock investment decisions. She proposed theoretical frameworks identifying various channels through which investors develop attachments to specific companies, enhancing their motivation to invest. These channels were empirically tested through a survey of active stock investors in Turkey. The findings were published in the prestigious Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics (SSCI) and garnered international recognition with the Hakan Orbay Research Award from Sabanci University. Naime Usul remains committed to investigating financial behavior and market anomalies through an interdisciplinary approach. For more information, please refer to her publications and CV.
