Conference Object Analysis of the Parameters That Effects the Operating Frequencies and Bandwidth of a Cpw-Fed Patch Antenna(Ieee, 2013) Dagdeviren, Birkan; Kapusuz, K. Yavuz; Can, Sultan; Aydin, Elif; Mathematics; Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering; 15. Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences; 02. School of Arts and Sciences; 01. Atılım UniversityIn this study, the analysis of the effect of antenna parameters to the operating frequency is performed in a coplanar waveguide fed patch antenna. The effect of the size and the substrate of the design dual frequency antenna to the operating frequency and bandwidth are also evaluated. Bandwidth of the upper and lower frequency is also investigated and results are demonstrated. The method to increase the bandwidth is also presented by using the chosen parameters.Conference Object Design and Fabrication of Dual-Frequency H-Shaped Antenna(Ieee, 2013) Dagdeviren, Birkan; Kapusuz, K. Yavuz; Can, Sultan; Aydin, Elif; Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering; 15. Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences; 01. Atılım UniversityIn this study, the parameters that effects the operating frequency of dual frequency H-shaped antenna are examined. These parameters are determined as type of the dielectric constant of substrate, substrate thickness, dimensions of the antenna and dimensions of the slots that are used to obtain shape of H. The produced and simulated results of the proposed antennas are presented and compared with the studies in literature.Conference Object Licence Plate Localization and Segmentation of Its Characters(Ieee, 2013) Dagdeviren, Birkan; Kaynakoez, Goektug; Tara, Hakan; Information Systems Engineering; Software Engineering; 06. School Of Engineering; 01. Atılım UniversityIn this study license plate localization and segmentation algorithm has been proposed. The method was formed by implementing different image operations. All the threshold values used here were empirically determined. A database was created by shooting the pictures of 210 different vehicles and each of which was employed to test the proposed approach. It was shown that performance rate of 92.86% was achieved.Conference Object Citation - WoS: 1A Modular Fmcw Radar Rf Front End Design:simulation and Implementation(Ieee, 2014) Dagdeviren, Birkan; Kapusuz, Kamil Yavuz; Kara, Ali; Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering; 15. Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences; 01. Atılım UniversityIn this work, simulations and preliminary measurement results of an S-band FMCW radar is presented. A commercial simulation tool (AWR-VSS) has been used at system level design stage of the radar. The simulation tool provides all functions regarding with transmitter, target and receiving blocks, and it finally feeds echo signals to the digital processing block implemented in MATLAB. The target range and velocity have been derived for simple target scenario in MATLAB. Then, a modular RF front end of the radar has been designed using commercial of the shelf (COTS) components. The radar system has been proved to be working in indoor environment using measurement equipment. Moreover, design of horn antennas for transmitting and reception blocks have been demonstrated Real time signal processing functions will be developed at the next stage.
